Amusement Planning Procurement and Promotions Crane Assistant Manager

-Summary

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Crane Manager within our Amusement Department. This role is ideal for a flexible, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage operations, data, and people effectively. You will work closely with the Manager / Director of Amusement Planning to implement strategic initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and ensure smooth execution of day-to-day operations. A strong focus on compliance, data analysis, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration is critical to success in this position.

-Essential Duties

Team & Operations Management

• Manage your team's deadlines, tasks, and projects to ensure that all crane-related initiatives are moving smoothly.

• Communicate regularly with the department director and department manager to align on expectations, roadblocks, and progress.

• Support and guide Crane team members in their day-to-day work while setting clear performance standards.

Budget Ownership

• Monitor and control Crane department expenses.

• Ensure budget awareness across the team and that all spend remains within approved limits.

• Regularly check and analyze the COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) report for insights and alignment.

Audit & Compliance

• Handle all audit-related tasks upon request from internal and external auditors.

• Maintain organized records and ensure transparency across all procurement and operational activities.

System & Process Management

• Update systems used by the team and store locations to ensure accuracy in product and tracking data.

• Oversee proper documentation and workflow approvals for all changes or additions.

Strategic & Leadership Support

• Support the Department Manager and Director in executing broader strategic goals.

• Participate in planning, decision-making, and cross-functional meetings as a representative of the Crane team.

-Qualifications

Vendor Relations & Communication

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors.

• Ensure all orders, deliveries, and payments are followed through in a timely and accurate manner.

• Monitor shipment tracking regularly and help resolve any order discrepancies, delays, or price-related issues.

• Communicate clearly and consistently with vendors, stores, and internal teams to ensure alignment on expectations and timelines.

• Act as a liaison between the vendor and store teams to resolve store-level issues such as damaged items, lost shipments, or delivery discrepancies.

Product Curation & Market Understanding

• Research and select goods that align with market trends and customer preferences.

• Understand the specific needs of each location through sales data and feedback.

Manager, Amusement Planning

• Negotiate pricing with vendors to ensure competitive rates while maintaining quality and strong vendor relationships.

Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support

• Work closely with our 57+ store locations to meet their unique product and inventory needs.

• Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to promote new and exciting products.

• Coordinate with internal departments to support timely rollouts and campaigns.

• Support crane operations at the store level to ensure items secured by the team are implemented and used correctly in the field.

Forecasting & Data Management

• Maintain and analyze the forecast sheets with up-to-date prices and quantities of procured items.

• Track forecast accuracy and adjust based on evolving company strategy and performance insights.

• Provide accurate reports and updates regarding inventory status, budget use, and forecast metrics.

• Ensure the procurement system, item master, and forecast sheets are consistently updated and accurate.

• Ensure all changes or additions go through proper approval workflows.

• Maintain tracking information and ensure it is entered into systems used by store teams.

Adaptability & Project Management

• Take on multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining precision.

• Quickly pivot and adjust plans to align with evolving company strategies.

• Contribute to broader team goals while also working independently when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of anime, Japanese culture, and current pop culture trends.

• Exceptional Excel skills for inventory tracking, data analysis, and forecasting.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• High adaptability and comfort with fast-changing goals and timelines.

• Creative, curious, and unafraid to think outside the box.

• Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of team accountability.

• Ability to see both the “big picture” and the fine details in projects and planning.
