IT Senior Manager – System Engineering
-Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Senior Manager to join our dynamic IT team in the entertainment company with growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overall system engineering, including system requirements, technical designs, development, test, and delivery, within scope and within budget. The IT Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive system engineering and align with strategic goals. The IT Senior Manager will also conduct project lead, vendor management, team management, documentation of technical specifications, quality assurance, and support of strong IT governance in the company.
-Essential Duties
• Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product and technical designs
• Suggest technical alternatives and improve/streamline processes and systems
• Contribute to system engineering planning activities including backlog decomposition, estimating, and sequencing with product owners
• Be a part of a small, focused team using Agile/Scrum/Waterfall to deliver work
• Take ownership of technical quality and improve it over time
• Development of mobile responsive front-end web components using modern web technologies
• Development of server-side components using a Microsoft technology stack
• Development of data components and BI tool interfacing with other system components
• Development of systems/services to reengineer tasks requested by other departments
• Conduct project lead of system/application implementations
• Create tools to support engineering and operations process
• Partner with other IT teams including infrastructure and security to ensure applications are performant and secure
• Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation
• Conduct system quality assurance and propose system improvement
• Conduct vendor management and team management
• Other duties as directed by upper management time to time

-Qualifications
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or other related fields
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in software development
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project lead and/or management
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts and User Interface design
• Proficiency and experience in one or more of the following; Java Script, VBA, SQL, Linux
• Proficient in using Microsoft apps such as Excel using VBA macros
• Working knowledge of design patterns and data structures
• Ability to independently implement a design based on UML diagrams
• Experience in B2C business, using POS systems and SKU product management
• Experience in creating integration between platforms using API documentations
• Experience back office systems using ERP
• Experience in Data warehouse and BI implementations
• Demonstrated good analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and strong logical thinking
Marketing Coordinator/Designer
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor
• Strong communication skills to lead a project to success towards other stakeholders
• Japanese language is preferred
