Payroll Clerk


-Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to provide comprehensive support to the Payroll Manager in all payroll-related matters. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.


-Essential Duties
・Provide support to the Payroll Manager on all payroll-related matters
・Perform customer service functions for internal payroll inquiries
・Prepare and maintain confidential employee files and records
・Assist in processing new hires, terminations, and status changes
・Reconcile payroll errors and maintain accurate payroll records
・Generate and monitor payroll reports, alerting management to issues or discrepancies
・Compile payroll data from time sheets and other records for payroll processing
・Sort and distribute payroll to branch locations
・Review time-worked inputs for accuracy in calculation, coding, and record keeping
・Process pay and deductions, including taxes (W-4, DE4), insurance, and other withholdings
・Review computer input forms and enter data into the ADP payroll system
・Balance and reconcile payroll data
・Manage wage deductions and maintain compliance records
・Support record keeping, reporting, and audit functions
・Maintain the ADP database and perform system updates
・Perform other payroll-related duties as required to support ongoing business operations and compliance needs


-Working Hours
8:30am–5:00pm, 8:15am–4:45pm, or 8:45am–5:15pm

-Salary and Benefit
・$24/hr–$26/hr

 Health, dental, and vision coverage are provided.
 Health insurance includes three plan options, with employee premiums varying by plan.
 Approximate employee cost: $100–$130 per month
 For family coverage: $150–$270 per family member per month

-Qualifications
・Minimum of three years of payroll or accounting experience
・ADP system experience
・Experience with multistate payroll
・Experience with union contracts
・Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
・Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
・Strong interpersonal and communication skills
・Ability to work independently and as part of a team
・High attention to detail and accuracy
・Dependable work ethic with a deadline-driven approach
・Customer service–oriented with the ability to learn quickly
・Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
