Senior Accountant (Exempt)
-Summary
This position is responsible for maximizing return on financial assets by assisting to establish financial policies, procedures, controls, and report systems under the consolidated Ame-Gyu and subsidiaries.
-Essential Duties
・ Responsible for reviewing and maintaining the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions including all entities, such as Ame-Gyu and subsidiaries.
・ Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements that include balance sheets, statements of income, and statements of cash flows.
・ Reviews balance sheets and account reconciliations against any discrepancies and abnormality; troubleshoots or investigates, if necessary.
・ Consults executive management with any irregular financial issues for solution.
・ Assists to prepare quarterly and yearly budgeting; adjusts spending according to the special projects, if any.
・ Approves and ensures timely payments to vendors and Stockholders.
・ Prepares consolidated accounting information and monthly reports, coordinates and reconciles all accounting information with executive management and the parent company in Japan; answers inquiries from financial and/or any auditors in Japan and the U.S.
・ Performs bank reconciliation, wire transfer and account maintenance.
・ Reconciles specific current assets and liabilities accounts on a monthly basis.
・ Responsible for reviewing, maintaining and assuring all tax documentations and related records in compliance with applicable US tax law.
・ Responsible for preparation, filing and payments of federal and state income taxes, state sales taxes, property tax, payroll taxes and business license tax etc. if necessary, work with CPA.
・ Stays current with developments and practice trends in the accounting profession.
・Assists to guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
・ Assists to protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
・ Assists to monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors.
・ Assists to maximize return, and limit risk, on cash by minimizing bank balances; making investments.
・ Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
・ Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
・ Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
・ Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
・ Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
・ Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
・ Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
・ Assists to maintain financial /Accounting staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
・ Assists to maintain financial /Accounting staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
・ Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
・ Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
・ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

-Working Hours
9am~6pm
Work from home 2 days a week, go to the office 3 days a week.

-Salary and Benefit
65K~73K DOE
PTO First Year 5 days, Second Year 10 days.

-Qualifications
・3+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience and bookkeeping experience
・Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
・Must have ERP accounting system experience.
Education & Work Experience
・3~5 or more years of previous experience in a similar position.
Tools & Equipment
・ General office equipment including phones, personal computers, email, fax, copier, scanner and etc.
・ Software includes the use of Windows operating system and MS Office and payroll and accounting software;Great Plains.
